Business handshakeSocial Networking has become a powerful tool for making connections.  A social network can be loosely described as an online group or community.  These online groups are very interactive and can help you connect with people who have similar interests.  Whether you’re looking for a date, a friend, an employer, or a new client, there’s a social network that can cater to your needs.  You can post pictures, send messages, and post comments.  Profiles let you share details of your life, such as where you live, work, and play.  Due to the high level of user interactivity and the wide audience social networks can reach, social networking can be both beneficial and detrimental to your personal or professional life.

You use online social networks such as Facebook, Twitter, and Linked-In to keep in touch with your friends, family, and peers.  Each tweet on Twitter, every status on Facebook is a chance to paint a picture of yourself to the world.  The fun is condensing yourself into just a few lines in one moment.  Whether it’s a mood, a feeling, or an opinion, you’ve put a least a little thought into your statement.  Hundreds of people will potentially read your updates or browse your photos.  It’s important for your professional and personal life that you bring self-awareness into every post you make to a social networking site.

Social networking has expanded our world.  It’s so easy to make connections and keep in touch with people across the nation and around the globe.  In the past, we might have been limited to meeting people within our region.  Thanks to social networking, region is irrelevant.  However, social networking has also put us under more scrutiny from our expanded network.  Everyone from our boss and coworkers to potential employers or clients may have access to our social networking pages.  No longer is it a good idea to tweet about what a jerk your boss is, or post pictures of yourself partying hardcore.

Just as you use social networking to portray yourself to an online community, you can take the same approach in marketing your company to millions of potential customers online.  Social networking is a great way to make business contacts.  You can update your company’s social network on upcoming sales, send invitations to special events, and post updates on new products or services.  Whether you’re using social networking for business or pleasure, it’s a great tool for marketing your professional or personal self.

internet-marketingDespite their interchangeability in everyday jargon, marketing and advertising are two different concepts.  Marketing refers to the research and branding, and strategy related to selling your services or products.  Advertising is just one of the ways that marketing is implemented.  Advertising is a message to the public announcing your company, services or products.

Advertising ties into your marketing strategy by staying on message.  Frequency and medium are factors to consider in ad marketing.  How can you best announce your company?  Billboards and signage are probably the most basic methods of advertising.  However basic, these strategies still get the message across and can work well for your marketing campaign.  Radio, television, and newspaper are advertising mediums that have been around for quite a while also.  Unlike signage, which is more static, media advertising can focus on a specific demographic via market, time of day, and related programming.

The newest marketing and advertising tool is the internet.  Virtual ads can draw traffic directly to the products and services on your website.  Because of the sheer amount of information available online, you can reach your targeted buyer even more efficiently through keyword search engine optimization.  In the past, you might have set up a billboard along the highway, hoping someone looking for your services would drive by, and be able to recall your company in the future.  With internet marketing, your ads show up right on the target customer’s doorstep as soon as they search for your keywords.

While search engine related company ads would be classified as advertising, there are other ways to market your company online.  One instance of online strategic marketing is blogging.  A blog is like an online journal.  It is interactive, meaning people can comment on your entries and you can reply to them.  It’s a great way to start a dialogue with existing and potential customers.  Blogs are meant to be fluid.  Ideally, new posts are added often, enticing blog followers to come back again and again.  In this way, your company can develop a loyal consumer population online.  While they may not be in the need of your products or services at the moment, when they are in need they will know they can go straight to your company.

Marketing and advertising are vital to your company’s sales and growth.  In the past, print, television, and radio have been great media for reaching your consumers.  However, it’s important to take a serious look at internet marketing to maximize your pool of potential customers.

ThinkingRichorPoorEbookLead generation can be difficult when you are just getting started in network marketing. One way you probably do it is with a form on your website that people can fill out to receive information. A few people might sign up just to get whatever information you might send. Yet, you can get even more people to fill in that form if you give them something of intrinsic value.

You will improve your website lead generation by giving away prizes. That may sound scary and expensive, but you can actually do it with no cost at all to you. You might have to spend a small amount of time, but the rewards will be great. The best prizes you can give are digital gifts such as ebooks and newsletters.

Your customers can receive an ebook as a prize for filling out the form. If you make the ebook title compelling enough, people will be anxious to download it. They will readily sign up their name and give their information just to receive this present. Lead generation by this method only takes a short time and a little creativity to write up an ebook.

Start out by brainstorming about the advantages and benefits of your business or products. You have a knowledge base that you can share with your potential customers or associates. Use that information for lead generation. Write something your reader will want to know about.

Most importantly, make the title of your ebook interesting and give a short, exciting description of the ebook on your website. Just below this, you can have the short form that makes up your lead generation builder. Once they fill out their name and contact information, you can have it set up so that they can do a one-click download of the ebook you have created.

Just having people sign up this way will make for fantastic lead generation. Giving them a valuable and well-written ebook will have them coming back for more of your wisdom. Then is the time to really give them attention in your business. Do not let people fall through the cracks when you have interested them in your products and company.

Of course, if you do not feel up to the job of writing an ebook, you can give the raw information to a ghost writer and have her actually put together the ebook. It will cost a small fee, but it will pay for itself in the lead generation it creates. Giving digital products away can convert website visitors from leads to real customers. After all, that is what lead generation is all about.

oldnewAttraction marketing is a fairly new term that many people do not understand. The key is that people would rather do business with someone they find attractive. That may be all well and good, but if you do not have a pretty face, you might wonder how you will accomplish attraction marketing. It is possible if you understand what the term really means.

When most people think of someone who is attractive, they think of a lovely face, a well-proportioned body, and other beautiful features such as silky, flowing hair. You may be blessed with such an appearance. If so, you have an advantage over someone who does not when attraction marketing is not considered.

That being said, physically attractive people and those who are less fortunate can benefit from some lessons in attraction marketing. The main thing to remember is that you have to learn what attracts people to you. The things that attract people to you in a business situation are almost all things that you can learn.

For example, knowing your product can be quite attractive. Think about how someone would come across if they gave you mixed up and incomprehensible information about their product or business. You would not be inclined to listen to them or anxious to hear more. In other words, you would not be attracted to them. Use attraction marketing by gaining as much product knowledge as you can. Then, when you explain what you have to offer, people will be quite interested in hearing the full story.

To practice good attraction marketing, you must find a way to show your pool of possible customers and associates just how valuable you would be to them. Another way is to study inspirational and motivational ideas. You will gain a powerful positive outlook that people will want to be around and have for their own. This kind of attraction marketing makes you desirable as well as extremely helpful to your down line.

Being up-to-date is another tool of attraction marketing. If you know the latest on all the subjects surrounding your business, people will flock to you to learn the news. They will look to you as a trusted source of information. When they want to know what is going on, they will ask for your time so that you can explain it to them.

Well-practiced attraction marketing can make your life very active. People will look to you as an authority and a source of inspiration. They will be eager to get involved with you because you are someone who knows what you are talking about. Pretty people may have one advantage, but a good knowledge of attraction marketing can allow you to surpass any advantage of physical beauty. Attraction marketing can make you one hot commodity.

MLMvs.affiliateIn researching home based business opportunities, you might have run across the terms “affiliate marketing” and “network marketing.” You can work from home in either type of business, but it is a good idea to learn what each one is before you commit to the program. While similar, there are some differences.

1. You usually sell different types of products in affiliate marketing than in network marketing. In the former, you would likely sell products that only have to be bought once. A product like this could be anything from an ebook to a condo timeshare. The customer buys it from your company and then you will probably not sell to her again. In network marketing, the focus is on making a lasting relationship so that you can sell an ongoing supply of products, usually physical rather than digital.

2. The Internet use may be different. Network marketing has come to rely heavily on Internet communication, sales, and advertising. If you do network marketing, you will probably like to use all of these tools, although they are usually not required. On the other hand, affiliate marketing is usually done exclusively through the Internet. People find out about it, purchase it, and receive it through the Internet.

3. Advertising, then, is through the Internet with affiliate marketing. With network marketing, print ads, flyers, and radio commercials are also used quite often by the individual entrepreneur to promote her business.

4. As far as work required, they are both businesses that need attention. That is not to say that you have to spend every waking moment on your affiliate marketing or network marketing business. However, you will need to set aside time routinely to watch over your business and take care of any tasks that come up.

5. The structure may be different for affiliate marketing and network marketing. Affiliate marketing usually has five or fewer levels. There may be only two levels that affect your business and income, for example. Network marketing is usually done on a broader basis with many levels of your network having a bearing on how well you do.

6. Both affiliate marketing and network marketing have good potential for income, but they may be paid in different ways. In affiliate marketing, the sale is usually made, and then that transaction is over. The customer goes in the serviced file and you go on to the next customer. You will probably be paid for the sale, and you might also be paid for extras such as clicks on the website, for example. With network marketing, you are paid when someone purchases a product. You are also paid when someone in your down line sells a product. The residual income can hold you over for years after you retire. When choosing a work from home business, make sure you are happy with the business of affiliate or network marketing.

blogging

Most experts, be they individuals, e-books, online articles or affiliate marketing companies stress the importance of creating a successful blog.

So, why even have a blog? There are many reasons, and here are 9 of the most important:

1. To Help Achieve Your Goals. You need to define your own goals. After they are determined, you can structure your blog so that these goals are satisfied. Maybe you have goals of finding leads for your primary programs or affiliate programs.

2. Create Personal Branding. In my opinion, this is the most important reason to create a blog. Personal Branding, as defined by Wikipedia is: …“the process whereby people and their careers are marked as brands. …success comes from self-packaging. Further defined as the creation of an asset that pertains to a particular person or individual; this includes but is not limited to the body, clothing, appearance and knowledge contained within, leading to an indelible impression that is uniquely distinguishable. So, why is this important? To put it bluntly: your personal branding shows your visitors that you are a professional who knows what you are doing.

3. Create Position. With numerous well written articles, your blog will establish you as an expert in your market. Naturally, visitors will want to return to your blog frequently to read your latest posting. They will want to subscribe to your blog. They will want to take advantage of the programs you offer. They will want to opt-in so that they can learn more from you.

4. Create Stickability. Stickability is the desire for your audience to “stick” around for a while. If your blog is interesting, people will want to explore the entire site, read your articles, and explore your opportunities. This will create a desire to subscribe to your blog and return often to learn.

5. Create Trust. Your blog can provide a “safe” place for your prospects. Most often, trust is not established immediately. By learning about you, your family, your struggles and your ultimate success, they develop a kinship with you. They can see similarities and a reason to find out more. By reading posted articles they can learn how you think and eventually develop trust in you. This creates a reason for them to fill in their contact information for you and, in fact, buy from you. In general, strangers do not care about your products or your opportunity before they care about you. On the other hand, if your blog shows you as someone they are not interested in learning more about, if your blog shows pictures that are distressing, if it is filled with nothing but “sales pitches”, they learn to NOT trust you and leave, never to return.

6. Create Search Engine Ranking. Google and other search engines love blogs. Blogs are ranked very high by these search engines, primarily because they provide frequent updates. With higher rankings on search engines, more people will find out about you.

7. Build Your List. After you have built trust, have established yourself as a leader and have provided valuable content, visitors will want to opt-in to your list so that they can learn more from you, the expert. It is best not to lead your prospects to your capture page from Facebook or Twitter. They are Social Networks – primarily a way for your friends to find out more about you, the person.

8. Build Equity. Over time you will have hundreds of posts on your blog. This is an asset and is very valuable to your readers and yourself.

9. Attract Quality Traffic. You will attract individuals interested in what you have to offer with your personal branding, position and articles written for your niche. They will be quality prospects. Period….

True-Source-Network-Marketing-300x225It seems that network marketing is here to stay, and the news could not be better for you. While there was a time when network marketing was scoffed at or belittled, it is now considered a legitimate business. If you have been affected by these pessimists in the past, here are 6 tips on how to hold your head high.

1. Find out who endorses network marketing. You might be surprised to learn that some very famous, influential, and, yes, wealthy people outside of the business have very positive things to say about network marketing. Donald Trump has said, for example, that network marketing is good business because of the education it provides to the down line.

2. Follow a code of ethics. If you hold yourself to a high standard, it will be easy to take pride in your business. When you do something in your network marketing business, think about whether you would really be proud of what you are doing. If you would not, chances are it is not a good business ploy anyway.

3. Treat your customers well. When you take the time to be gracious to your customers, it pays in dividends of increased sales and a bigger network marketing downline. At the same time, though, if you make it a point to take interest in your customer’s well-being, you can be proud that you are a kind and generous person.

4. Learn about the examples of success in your upline. Whether your immediate mentor is wealthy or not, there are most surely people in your upline who are. Take every opportunity to meet these people. They will convey a positive attitude that will make you happy that you are involved in network marketing.

5. Take pride in your network marketing down line as they learn from your guidance. As you build your down line, you will be training the people under you to do their best work and tap into their internal winner. When these people prosper, pat yourself on the back and enjoy the moment. You have made their lives better.

6. Treasure your successes. Whenever you have network marketing successes, do not let them pass by unnoticed. Get as much mileage as you can out of every achievement you have accomplished. Treat yourself in some way to commemorate your milestones.

Network marketing can be difficult at times, but there are rewards. One of them is the pride you feel when you know you have made lives better. Whether that life is yours, your customer’s, or one of your associate’s, it does not matter. You have made a positive impression on the world.

social-media-bandwagon-Matt-HammToday’s business can benefit from Social Media Marketing. This involves using websites that bring people together in an informal cyber-setting. The majority of these sites are free to join and use. The best news is that, by making friends on these sites, you can foster business relationships that will help you win over friends and associates.

FaceBook or MySpace are two of the primary Social Media Marketing sites. Setting up an account with either is easy; just follow the virtual form that is given. When you enter your data, include your company name and important information about your company. This will become a part of your profile for people to see whenever they visit your home page.

You do not have to stop there, though. Continue with your Social Media Marketing by updating your status frequently.  Go onto FaceBook or MySpace and write a bit of news or information about your company as a post. You can also post links to your website whenever you choose.

The important thing to remember about these Social Media Marketing websites is that you want to make friends online. You will be given a chance right away to invite people to be your friends. It is a good idea to start out with as many friends as possible, but having even a few is helpful in Social Media Marketing. Over time, you will be given the option to add friends who have mutual friends with you. The more friends you get, the more people you will reach.

Twitter is also becoming popular these days. People like to tweet messages about what they are doing and read about their friends. Again, use this Social Media Marketing tool to make as many friends and potential customers as possible. You will have followers, some who will decide to follow you with no prompting from you at all. It is also a good idea to follow others, as these people will probably follow you. The things you can post are similar to what you can post on other Social Media Marketing sites such as FaceBook and MySpace.

There are special Social Media Marketing groups online that work as insiders’ clubs. You are asked to join, and then you ask others to join. This is a way to create a professional network. LinkedIn is one of these Social Media Marketing directory type programs you can use. Not only can you create a network of associates; you can also get people in other businesses involved who might, then, be your customers.

Social Media Marketing is the one of the best ways to reach people through the Internet on a personal level. It is all about making friends and then updating them on your business. It will only take a fraction of your time, and it may pay off in large rewards.

736838_combination_lockFirst of all I want to congratulate you for taking the time to read this article. That tells me that you are wanting to learn more about the Network Marketing industry.

Let me give you some scary statistics right here in the beginning. You may have heard this before, but it is vital that you know this. The failure rate for the Network Marketing industry is 97%. That means that only 3% of Network Marketers are successful. This is the reality.

So why is it that only 3% of Network Marketers are making any money in this industry? Is it because they are smarter than you? Or is it because they have the magic code to make money? Well the answer is NO!!

This 3% of successful Network Marketers were in the 97% category at one time or another. The way they got out of this category is they found their personal solutions to the problems they were facing. If they were using Affiliate Marketing methods, and they were not achieving their desired results, they moved on to a more successful strategy that was working for them. The KEY to this is to be very ORGANIZED. You have to track your results on a consistent basis. One method I use to track all of my campaigns, is to use separate folders on my desktop. I have separate folders for each one of my campaigns. I update this on a daily basis, to see which one is working the best. When you find which one is working for you, just DUPLICATE your efforts in this specific area. It really is that simple.

So why does one person have massive success in Social Media Marketing, and the other person has no success at all in this area. There are (3) crucial elements that you need to have in order to be a successful Network Marketer. Your potential customers or prospects have to (1) KNOW, (2) LIKE, and (3) TRUST YOU. You must build relationships with your customers or prospects. How many times have you done business with someone because one of your friends suggested it.  For example, you go see Larry down at the Honda dealership. This has happened to me many times. You went there to do business with Larry because you already trusted him.

I recently had a friend tell me that the Network Marketing industry is like trying to open a combination lock. You keep spinning the lock trying to open it, but the lock won’t open. After several attempts, you get frustrated and throw the lock down. This is a lot like what Network Marketers go through when they feel like nothing is working for them. You feel like giving up or quitting, but DON”T.

After a few days of pondering your next move, you start to get to work. You start studying different Marketing methods, watching training videos, reading articles, joining Marketing forums, doing google searches………..

Now you have a better understanding of how the Network Marketing industry works. You are starting to feel CONFIDENT about the things you have learned. You BELIEVE in yourself. The lock is sitting there next to your computer. You pick up that lock with renewed energy and confidence, and start spinning that dial. First you spin to the right, than to the left, and finally back to the right! Your heart is pounding like like you have never felt before, and sweat is starting to drip from your forehead. You then take a deep breath and pull on the lock. An amazing thing happens at that moment, THE LOCK OPENS.

Congratulations! You are well on your way to explode your Network Marketing business, and join that elite 3% of successful Marketers.

ThinkingRichorPoorEbookHave you ever wondered why some people seem to have all the luck?  Have you tried to do something and it just didn’t turn out the same way?  Are there times when you have thought to yourself, “I’m just not that lucky, or smart?  I could never be as successful as them?”  When you think those thoughts you are actually self-sabotaging yourself.  One of the first things you need to do is to change your perception.

I’m going to let you in on a little secret. Making money is NOT just for the Lucky or the Rich. Everyone deserves to make money. Money doesn’t care who has it, it is there for the taking.  Now you need to ask yourself this question, “Is Your Thinking Making You Rich or Poor?” Depending on how you answer and perceive different questions can drastically impact your level of success.
